NEW ANTIQUE SHOW IN FAYETTEVILLE, TX 9/28-10/6

Published October 13th, 2007

The HWY 159 at Fayetteville Antique Show is opening for the first time this fall during the Warrenton/ Round Top antique fair. Opening day is Friday, September 28 and closes Saturday, October 6, 2007. Show hours are 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. so customers looking for that perfect find and dealers from other shows can shop late. The promoters are Stephen and Eileen Watson of Moonphases Collectibles who have been dealers at other Fayetteville shows for the past five years.

The new HWY 159 at Fayetteville Antique Show will have many of the dealers who sold at the antique show on the square in Fayetteville. In addition, other dealers from Texas and around the US will also be there. The show will feature a variety of antiques and vintage collectibles. Dealers have been asked not to bring any reproductions, crafts, or new items to sell. At the HWY 159 at Fayetteville Antique Show you will find a variety of periods and styles from antiques and Texas collectibles to mid century modern. There will be furniture, art/paintings by Texas and other artists, prints, hotel silver, sterling and silverplate, textiles, vintage records (78’s, 33’s and 45’s), record players, dolls, toys, books, Texas stoneware, jewelry, and other “fun finds”. You never know what wonderful item a dealer will bring to the show! And if you need a record player/console repaired, Stephen Watson can repair it for you on site during the show.

The HWY 159 at Fayetteville Antique Show is a delightful place to shop for both customers and dealers. Located about 2 miles east of Fayetteville, TX on E Hwy 159, the show is housed in a large air conditioned building with clean restrooms. The large main building has covered front and back porches and next to it is a cute little red house available for dealer spaces. For this first show the cost per square foot is a low rate; a 10×20 space rents for $375. The show is part of a circle of shows running from Round Top/ Warrenton, down to Fayetteville, and then back to Industry and Bellville. From Warrenton you take Hwy 237 to FM 1291, make a left turn and continue on FM 1291 to the intersection with Hwy 159. At the intersection turn left for the HWY 159 at Fayetteville Antique Show. From Bellville/Industry and from LaGrange just follow Hwy 159 straight to the show location. The Watson’s have been dealers at shows in Texas and the southeast for many years and are familiar with the needs of dealers. Stephen and Eileen will host a show that respects dealers and customers, provides a friendly, professional environment, and sells quality merchandise at fair prices to customers and other dealers.

And what is an antique show without fun and entertainment! While shopping you will hear a wide variety of music that Stephen will be playing from his vintage collection. On Wednesday, October 3, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. come for the “ART, WINE, and WATER” Show. Share a glass of wine or pure Texas well water, listen to vintage records, and view the great art by Texas and other artists that are for sale. Bring your friends for a “cool” evening at the HWY 159 at Fayetteville Antique Show after shopping all day in the hot fields. Then on Friday, October 5 from 8:00 to 10:30 p.m. come back to hear the Casey Thompson Band play great Texas country music at our “TEXAS COUNTRY MUSIC NIGHT”. Casey Thompson is a Texas songwriter and singer out of Fort Worth. So come shop and/or sit and relax for an evening of live country music. The weekend of October 5 and 6 is also “Midnight Madness in Fayetteville” and the HWY 159 at Fayetteville Antique Show and the shops around the town square will the open to 12:00 midnight for your shopping convenience.
So welcome to the new show- The HWY 159 at Fayetteville Antique Show- for a great shopping experience from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and from 9 a.m. to midnight during Midnight Madness weekend.
