Currently, the Grist Mill Antiques Center in Pemberton, New Jersey, is focusing on these charming reminders of bygone days in its special display.
Rustic wooden tools and kitchen implements share space with stoneware crocks and yelloware bowls. Staffordshire figurines and old chalkware provide decorative elements to complement the simplicity of a country room. Objects made of tin and cast iron represent the work of skilled nineteenth century craftsmen. Homespun fabrics and quaint samplers are further examples of our ancestors’ handwork.
Country primitive antiques have a timeless quality that has appealed to serious antique collectors for nearly a century.
