Hessney Auction to Offer Book of Mormon 1830 and Mormon Letter 1839 on Missouri Mormon Expulsion

Hessney Auction Company of Geneva , NY will be offering the Book of Mormon 1830 and a Mormon Letter dated 1839 on the Expulsion of Mormons from Missouri at an auction April 9th. Books and maps from an important local family will be included as well as Antiques, Art, Ephemera, Jewelry, Coins, Glassware, Silver and more.

book-of-mormon1.jpgThe first edition was printed in 1830 by Joseph Smith Jr., the founder of the Mormon religion. The book is in good unrestored condition with original binding.

While there were 5000 copies originally published, there are only hundreds known to still exist. Copies of this rare book change hands only a few times a year.
