New Manhattan Korean Art and Antiques Gallery

Published June 30th, 2008

After several successful years of selling Korean art online, Korean Art and Antiques is opening a gallery at 40 West 25th Street in Chelsea, Manhattan’s fastest growing art district. Our doors open to the public on July 2nd. We’ll be open 7 days a week from 10am to 6pm.

Korean Art and Antiques was the first online gallery to sell both contemporary Korean art and Korean antiques. We continue that pioneering tradition with the first and only gallery open to the public that sells both contemporary and antique Korean art. The emphasis will be on Korean
folk art, with folk artifacts that cannot be found elsewhere, and contemporary art that is deeply rooted in Korean folk traditions. We sell more contemporary Korean ceramics than anyone, and represent an interesting variety of some of Korea’s greatest ceramic artists. We are excited about the contemporary painters who we will be representing, and plan to exhibit work in other media by select, talented Korean artists.

We invite you to come visit us. Korean folk art is art that is of the people, by the people, and for the people. In keeping with that spirit, no appointment is necessary and casual visitors are welcome to come in and enjoy and learn what makes Korean art so spirited, vital, distinct and extraordinary. We hope to see you soon!
