Americana Featured at The Chicago Antique Market

The Randolph Street Market Festival returns to the West Loop with new dealers, new goods and a special tribute to the United States. This month’s market highlights select vendors featuring Americana good and antiques including stamps, coins, vintage propaganda posters, Uncle Sam collectibles, handmade flags, red, white and blue decorative accessories and more. Margaret Meier, a widely recognized expert on barkcloth and author of acclaimed book “Vintage Textured Barkcloth” returns with an impressive spread of blue and white richly patterned barkcloth fabrics.

The market’s more than 200 select purveyors bring a remarkable array of vintage and modern decorative goods, home furnishings, art, fashion and jewelry from all decades and all parts of the globe to Chicago’s West Loop. With its unparalleled selection of unique items in all price ranges, everyone from veteran collector to casual shopper will enjoy the market’s fun-filled shopping, mingling and browsing experience.

The Randolph Street Market Festival returns Saturday, June 27 from 10 a.m.
to 5 p.m. and Sunday, June 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1350 W. Randolph Street.

The Randolph Street Market Festival encompasses several smaller markets in one kinetic energy-filled environment, including the Chicago Antique Market featuring a diverse array of treasures from the past; the Indie Designer Market, where top designers of fashion, art, jewelry and decor showcase original artwork, handmade crafts and cutting-edge designs; plus the Fancy Food Market, the Vinyl Swap Meet, the Global Goods Bazaar and much more.

The Randolph Street Market Festival is provided as a courtesy to shoppers. Trolleys depart Water Tower Place, 835 N. Michigan Ave., at the top of 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and depart the Market for Water Tower at regular 30 minute intervals from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Free and ample parking is available and the event is just .2 miles from Ashland and Lake Streets’ Green & Pink Line El stops.
