The legendary Sunday evening trawl through the attics and cupboards of the British public has been on the air for more than 30 years. From incredibly valuable Feuilles Fougères vases to Matchbox cars the Antiques Roadshow’s panel of experts have seen it all.
A brand new series of Antiques Roadshow begins its 30 week run on 30 August 2009 and to commemorate three decades of one of the BBC’s most popular programmes, Priceless Antiques Roadshow will be released on DVD on 5 October 2009 courtesy of Acorn Media.
In Priceless Antiques Roadshow, current presenter Fiona Bruce introduces classic moments from the show famous for the sheer number of fascinating stories that have been told since its beginnings in February 1979.
Featuring contributions from former presenters including Michael Aspel and Hugh Scully as well as resident experts past and present, this wonderful DVD is a celebration of the programme that reminds us that you never know what you might find at a car boot sale or in granny’s attic.
The beautiful three-disc set also contains biographies of many of Antiques Roadshow’s appraisers and experts as well as their tips for Credit Crunch proof collectables. From ceramics to jewellery and silver, the experts give us the inside track on what’s valuable and what can be safely sent to the charity shop.
Often imitated, but never bettered, 30 years of collectable magic come to DVD in Priceless Antiques Roadshow.
