J.D Salinger autograph on display at Paul Fraser Collectibles

Even prior to his death J.D. Salinger was one of the world’s rarest and most valuable autographs.

This magnificent signed letter offers a rare insight into his reclusive lifestyle and bears a superb signature.

Dated Wednesday 9/16/1981 Salinger writes to his lover Janet Eagleson.

Salinger talks of a road trip he has taken, the first time he has left his home all Summer:

“I just stayed overnight and drove home in the morning”

Salinger goes on to talk about his relationship with Janet:

He talks of fleeing with her “bare-assed and holding hands” to open “a little clothing store,”

The letter also discusses “Threats from the Press.”
