The Winter Antiques Show Celebrates 64 years as America’s Leading Art, Antiques and Design Fair

The Winter Antiques Show is the leading art, antiques and design fair in America, featuring 70 of the world’s top experts in the fine and decorative arts. Now in its 64th year, the Show highlights an eclectic mix of works dating from ancient times through the present day, and each object is examined for authenticity, date and condition. Net proceeds from the Show benefit East Side House Settlement, a nationally recognized community-based organization in the South Bronx. Returning for a 22nd year is the Show’s Presenting Sponsor, Chubb.

BENEFICIARY:
All net proceeds from the Show benefit East Side House Settlement, which works with schools, community centers and other partners to bring quality education and resources to residents of the South Bronx and Northern Manhattan. Recognizing education as the key to economic and civic opportunity, East Side House helps approximately 10,000 individuals improve their lives each year with programs ranging from basic literacy to specialized technology training. East Side House Settlement established the Winter Antiques Show in 1955, and celebrated 125 years in 2016.

LOAN EXHIBITION:
The Winter Antiques Show’s 2018 loan exhibition highlights the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond, Virginia. Collecting for the Commonwealth/Preserving for the Nation: Celebrating a Century of Art Patronage, 1919-2018 features exceptional objects made by Tiffany, Lalique, Jean Schlumberger and Paul Storr, as well as important paintings by Robert Henri, George Stubbs, John Singer Sargent, Berthe Morisot, Willem de Kooning, Eastman Johnson, Childe Hassam, Max Pechstein, Vincent van Gogh and Beauford Delaney.
