Cackleberry Farm Antique Mall will be hosting a 12th Annual Columbus Day Weekend Antique Extravaganza Sale on Saturday, October 11 through Monday October 13. Cackleberry is located at 3371 Lincoln Highway East (Route 30), Paradise,? Pennsylvania, four miles west of Route 41 and only six miles east of Rockvale Square Outlet Mall. Cackleberry is only minutes away from everywhere and everything Lancaster? County, Pennsylvania has to offer. “Not Just an Antique Mall – It’s Your Destination,” is their motto.

During the celebration, Cackleberry will be offering huge savings, storewide, on almost everything in their over five million dollars of inventory. The huge 26,000 square foot facility houses a wide variety of antiques and collectibles, displayed by over 125 dealers featuring such fine items as furniture, glassware, sterling silver, clocks, advertising, jewelry, fine china, toys, books, postcards, trains, Christmas, pottery, linens, primitives, kitchenware and much, much more. It’s impossible to list everything they have to offer. Visitors are amazed at the quality selection.

?Housed inside the antique mall is an Old Time General Store, which will take you back in time to the Mom & Pop stores of years ago. They offer convenient parking for over 100 vehicles, with a spacious area for campers, trailers, and tour buses. Visitors find it such a pleasure to shop in their clean, climate-controlled, brightly lit and carpeted mall that they rate it, “One of The Best shopping experiences in? Lancaster? County!”

During the sale the Mall will also be featuring several presentations from its dealers.

On Saturday, October 11 through Monday, October 13, local artisan Lynn Hathy will be demonstrating Folk Art Painting on Furniture. Furniture painting dates back to the early medieval times. Brides’ boxes and dowry trunks were decorated with the bride’s family coat of arms. Most furniture was ornamented with simple designs. Today, Lynn with her many years of expertise, creates her own patterns and designs which reflect many thoughts and trends of our present generation with each piece telling its very own story. Demonstrations will take place during the day between 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

On Sunday, October 12, there will be a presentation on open salts. George and Deb Cross have been collecting open salts since the early 1990’s and have over 1,000 in their collection. Through their many years of collecting and research, they have acquired a vast knowledge of information about this unique collectible. They are members of The Open Salt Collectors of the Atlantic Region.?? Their presentation will take place from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
