On June 11th, “Ephemera, Decorative Accessories, Fine Furniture and Rugs”, will offers nearly 500 lots, with baseball cards and memorabilia, political autographs and other collectibles, including Dorothy Doughty porcelains, fine jewelry, as well as works by Meissen, Tiffany, and Handel. The sale will conclude with European and American Decorative Arts. The “Fine & Discovery Art” auction on June 12th features paintings, prints, collages and watercolors ranging in estimate from $100 to $150,000. Among the highlights of the two auctions is Lot 3136, on June 12th, an oil on canvas entitled “Hillside,” with an opening bid of $6,000 by American Plein Air painter, Aldro Thompson Hibbard. The top lot of the sale on June 12th is Lot 3167, “Snow Scene, Center Bridge, Pennsylvania,” by Edward Willis Redfield, with bidding beginning at $50,000. “An 18th Century Metamorphosis”, Lot 2182A on June 11th, opens for bidding at $7,500. Another highlight of the June 11th sale is diamond jewelry, Lots 2268 through 2274, ranging in estimate from $1,600 to $15,000.
