Wild Rice Trade, Art & Antique Expo Mahnomen, Minnesota

The Wild Rice Trade, Art & Antique Expo – 2009 will be held July 17-19 on Highway 59 at the south entrance to Mahnomen, MN. A replica of the World’s Largest Bratwurst will be served on Saturday, July 18, to benefit the Deputy Dewey Fund, the deputy sheriff shot in the line of duty. The Expo’s pay-it-forward efforts also include an exhibit by the Lakes Area Humane Society, a dunk tank sponsored by the Mahnomen Area Boys’ and Girls’ Club, and a non-perishable food drop benefiting the Helping Hands Food Shelf serving Mahnomen County.

“Our goal is to offer people a great destination with food, fun — with something for everyone, from gourmet food and unique trade items, to fine art and crafts — while raising considerable funds for local causes, plus help restock the Helping Hands Food Shelf at this year’s Expo,” said Neil Lewis organizer of the event.

This family-oriented event is free and open to the public, beginning at 9 a.m. all three days. The ongoing statewide American Legion Convention is being held in Mahnomen during the same timeframe. For more information contact the Expo at [email protected] or call 218-930-0759.
