Midcentury Modern includes a desk and credenza by Jens Risom, a pair of Dorothy Draper bachelor’s chests, a Roche Bobois leather and suede sofa; Walnut Stereo Speakers on Saarinen-type Bases; a LaVerne coffee table; a Springer Snakeskin Lamp, unique glass mosaic-topped decorative coffee tables, one signed; a possibly Baughman Burlwood Desk, and other unidentified quality midcentury lots.
Pianos include an exceptional c.1930 Steinway Louis XV Baby Grand in excellent condition, retail value $80,000, auction estimate $8,000-$12,000. In addition to a Knabe Baby Grand, Clarke Auction will also sell a possibly 18th Century Lute.
Antique and Traditional Furniture Highlights start with a French Marble-Topped and Inlaid Rosewood Commode, Paris-stamped; a Stamped c.1930 Company of Master Craftsmen Burlwood Banded and Bone Inlaid Chest, a Diminutive Antique Chest and Dressing Table, a 19th Century Parquetry Fliptop Demilune Table, and a Louis XV-style Leathertop Game Table among two hundred lots of fine furniture.
