Antiques In The Valley

This June, 60 highly regarded antique dealers will gather together for “Antiques in the Valley” at a new facility, The Oley Valley Middle School (located less than one mile from the former show site). This beautiful, air-conditioned facility was carefully chosen to afford dealers additional display space, and provide comfortable shopping for the crowds attending this show.

Those attending the show, now in its fourth year, continue to exhibit a level of excitement seldom seen at other antique shows. People mention their enjoyment with Berks County, Oley’s rural atmosphere, the many historical sites surrounding the show, good food and ample free parking. It’s said, “This show reminds us of how shows used to be – great stuff, good buys and friendly people.”

As in previous years “Antiques In The Valley” will feature a special loan exhibit. This year the exhibit is titled “Yesterday’s Child.” How did kids survive without the cell phone, television, computer, dvds, and more? “Yesterday’s Child” will visually display the lives of children during the late 18th century and 19th centuries. How did children spend those early years – with their parents, at school, at play, and at church?

The show is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 20th, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday the 21st. The Oley Valley Middle School is located at 3247 Friedensburg Road. Admission is $8 per person (valid for 2 days). A portion of the show proceeds provides scholarships to worthy Oley Valley students.
