Del Mar, CA – On Thursday evening, November 20th, 2008, Calendar Shows LLC will hold a preview gala opening to unveil a spectacular three-day 20th century antiques and design event — The event will highlight a caliber of exhibitors and breadth of design genres which has not been seen before in the enormous Southern California market. The event, appropriately named “Century of Style Antiques and Design Show”, will showcase over 100 high quality exhibitors in the genres of Arts & Crafts, Mid-Century Modern, Mission, Monterey, Art Nouveau and Art Deco. It is anticipated that this will definitively make this annual show Southern California’s premier sales event celebrating the design styles of the 20th century. The show will be open to the public for three solid days on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 21, 22, and 23, 2008. Century of Style will offer buyers, collectors, designers, decorators and those individuals who possess a passion for this era an opportunity to view AND purchase the interior furnishings and exterior design elements which are so extremely desired in today’s design market. From Tiffany lamps to Charles Lamb chaise lounges, from outdoor sculpture to 20th century fine art, this stunning show will feature vetted exhibitors offering antiques and a select group of exhibitors whose work re-creates the craftsmanship of yesterday.
Century of Style will be held at the beautiful Del Mar Fairgrounds in the Bing Crosby Exhibition Hall which is located in north San Diego County next to the Pacific Ocean.
In a landmark move not seen before in the antiques show industry, Calendar Shows LLC will host Century of Style in conjunction with their long-running and highly-respected Del Mar Antiques Show & Sale. Considered the “granddaddy” of California antiques shows, the Del Mar Antiques Show will be held in the adjacent O’Brien Exhibition Hall. For over 48 years, the Del Mar Antiques Show has featured 250+ quality general line antiques dealers and a gate which routinely tops 8,000. What this means for attendees is that for one admission they will have the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in two different but extremely complimentary events.
