Proxibid hosts Riverside Antiques Auction for Large Collectibles

Proxibid, a premier provider of live auction webcasting services, today announced that it will provide live online bidding for an upcoming auction of collectibles including southern pottery, taxidermies and glassware. The live auction, hosted by Riverside Antiques and Auction, will take place Saturday, June 28 at 7:00 p.m. EDfoT. Pre-bidding and absentee bidding for this auction are already available on Proxibid.

“This auction features a great eclectic mix of fine collectibles,” said Jimmy Buchanan of Riverside Antiques and Auction. “Included in this auction are several southern pottery pieces, beautiful glassware, and cast iron pieces. Bidders will also be interested in the vintage soda memorabilia, including a selection of Coca-Cola items. Other items up for bid include some small furniture, vintage photos and a German bible with gilded edges dated back to 1870.”

Also to be sold are two taxidermies and two fox pelts received legally from the outdoor television show, “Classic Adventures.” Taxidermy is the art of preserving animal skins in life-like form for permanent display. It is an art form that has been around since the 1800s. Taxidermies are generally displayed at museums, educational facilities, businesses, and homes. Don’t miss the chance to win one of your own.

• Lot #100 – Official 1915 yearbook, features photos of Connie Mack, Ty Cobb, and Babe Ruth in his rookie years;
• Lot #110 – 10-point mounted buck;
• Lot #111 – Stuffed rattle snake, coil has 12 rattlers, measures 7” in height and is almost 4” long;
• Lot #112 – Red arctic fox skin, measures 49” from tip of nose to end of tail, 7” wide;
• Lot #113 – Silver arctic fox skin, measures 52” from tip of nose to end of tail, 9” wide.
