An appraisal fair is being sponsored by the Durham Regent, and the public is welcome. Regional antiques and art appraiser Vicky Nash Shaw, ISA AM will be featured at the appraisal fair which is being held in Durham, North Carolina on August 1st. The event, Regent Relics Roadshow, which be an Antiques Roadshow style event, and will be held at 3007 Picket Road (in Durham NC) between 1:30 and 4:30 pm.
A donation of $15.00 covers the valuation of up to two items, and proceeds will go towards school supplies for children and to the Ronald McDonald House.
Vicky Nash Shaw, of Authentic Appraisal & Estate Services, will be providing verbal approximations of value for antiques and collectibles. She has worked appraisal fairs from North Carolina to Florida, including a mini-appraisal fair where she worked with renowned author Judith Miller. Vicky is a generalist appraiser with specialty training in furniture, Asian art, Chinese export silver, porcelain, Fine Art, Silver, and other decorative arts.
