Original Miami Beach Antique Show Hosts Two Distinctive Events

U.S. Antique Shows, the world’s leading producer of indoor antique shows, plans to host two special events at this year’s Original Miami Beach Antique Show to enhance the attendees’ shopping experience.

Have a treasure or family heirloom to be appraised? On Saturday, Feb. 1 from 12-6 p.m., The Original Miami Beach Antique Show, in partnership with Skinner Auctioneers & Appraisers, presents Appraisal Day. All attendees, with a valid ticket to the show, are invited to bring one item to be appraised by one of Skinner’s experienced appraisers. Each appraiser will provide an unbiased, expert opinion of the attendee’s collectible or antique including a verbal estimated range of its fair market value. No written valuations will be given.

“The Original Miami Beach Antique Show is widely known as a premier event in the world of antiques,” said CEO of Skinner Auctioneers & Appraisers Karen M. Keane. “Skinner is pleased to be the sponsor of the 2014 Appraisal Day.”

Founded over four decades ago, Skinner offers more than 60 auctions annually. Skinner auctions reach an international audience and showcase the unique, rare, and beautiful in dozens of categories, including the fine and decorative arts, jewelry, modern design, musical instruments, science and technology, wine, and many others.

Appraisal Day will be held on the second floor of the Miami Beach Convention Center in room D-234. Attendees are encouraged to sign up for an appointment at www.MiamiBeachAntiqueShow.com. Walk ups are also welcome, but an appointment guarantees the item will be seen by an appraiser.

The Original Miami Beach Antique Show, the world’s largest indoor antique show, will be held Jan. 30 – Feb. 3, 2014 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. This must-attend event showcases 1,000 established dealers from across the globe, featuring Renaissance to Retro era collections such as fine art, American and European silver, antique jewelry, 17th-19th century furniture, and more. Show times are Thursday, Jan. 30 to Sunday, Feb. 2 from 12-8 p.m. and Monday, Feb. 3 from 12- 6 p.m. Admission is $20 to attend all five days.
